For visitors who linger past their permitted duration of stay, the UAE standardized the grace period and the overstay fee. The grace period for foreign nationals to stay in the country following the revocation of specific immigration permission types was regulated by the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The majority of primary residence card holders who have had their rights revoked or expire will be now allowed to remain in the nation for up to six (6) months.

Dependent family members, domestic assistants, foreign students studying in the country, and holders of principal residence permits may not be covered by this chronology.

New overstay costs were also implemented by the government.

The grace period for foreign citizens to remain in the country with expired or cancelled authorization types has been extended by the UAE government.
