According to the Chamber of Commerce in Cyprus, businesses have optimistic prospects for growth of economy and at the same time concerned about energy prices and red tape. 
 
A recent pan-European survey with Cyprus-related results on the business climate covers 45 000 business and 26 countries. The survey shows results with increased but moderate positive perception for 2019, which in turn confirms the recovery of Cyprus economy. 
 
Being the fourth best forecast at pan-European level, 57 per cent of Cypriot businesses believe that domestic sales will grow in 2019. 40 per cent of respondents believe in growing exports and increased staffing needs in 2019. The good results are more than half businesses having more optimistic perception.
