UAE Railway Program inaugurated

The UAE Railway Programme was started as one of the Projects of the 50, and it represents an integrated strategy for the UAE's railway industry over the ensuing decades. It comprises a national rail network that would connect the UAE's major cities and the seven emirates. The program is anticipated to provide 200 billion AED worth of economic prospects.

Objectives of the programme:

to create a system of sustainable road transportation that promotes economic growth across all industries, including tourist, industry, and the environment
to connect the nation’s production and industrial centres
to establish new trading routes
to allow for easier circulation of persons
to create more than 9,000 jobs in the railroad industry and related industries by 2030.
to cut carbon emissions by 70 to 80 percent over the next 50 years.

More than 36.5 million people will use the UAE Railway Program each year. It will link 11 cities and regions and embodies the union's spirit.
